(NAPANEE, ON)- On Friday, October 30, 2015 at 10:25 p.m. an officer with the Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, conducting radar enforcement, stopped a vehicle being driven at 159 km/h westbound on Highway 401 near Belleville.
The female driver of the vehicle, Asma ISMAEL, 22 years of age, of Ottawa, was issued a summons for stunt driving. Her vehicle was impounded for seven days and she was issued a seven day drivers licence suspension.
On Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 1:33 a.m. an officer with the Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police performing radar enforcement on Highway 401 just west of Napanee stopped a vehicle being driven eastbound at 190 km/h.
The driver of the vehicle, 20 year-old Elizabeth MINNIS of Wolfe Island Township, was issued a summons for stunt driving. Her vehicle was impounded for seven days, and she was given a seven day drivers licence suspension.
Both parties are scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee.
