(PETROLIA, ON)- On July 18, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the intersection of Petrolia Line and Maude Street, Town of Petrolia to investigate a collision between a motor vehicle and a 72 year old pedestrian.
Investigation revealed that the pedestrian was crossing Maude Street in an easterly direction while a 2009 Dodge Journey attempted a left turn from westbound Petrolia Line. The Dodge Journey struck the elderly male at which time the driver provided immediate medical aid. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries that were treated at the Hospital.
As a result of the investigation, Jennifer SALARIS, 46 years-of-age of the Town of Petrolia was charged with failing to yield to pedestrian, Highway Traffic Act.o
