(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Saturday August 24, 2013, shortly before 4 p.m., an off duty Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was driving west bound on Frank Street east of the Hwy 23 intersection in Mitchell, when he came upon a John Deere garden tractor which was being driven down the centre of the road.
Upon being stopped and spoken to by the officer, the male operating the tractor displayed obvious signs of impairment. On duty officers attended and arrested the male for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.
Andrzey KUBICKI (64) of the Municipality of West Perth has been charged with “impaired drivingâ€Â, “drive motor vehicle – over 80 mgs of alcoholâ€Â, and “drive disqualifiedâ€Â. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on Monday September 30, 2013.
