(Prince Edward County, ON)—On July 25, 2015 at 11:31pm officers with the Ontario Provincial Police Prince Edward County detachment were called to County Road 3 and Onderdonk Lane in Ward of Ameliasburgh for a single motor vehicle collision. The police investigation revealed that the vehicle left the roadway and struck a rock cut. Police observed that the driver had been consuming alcohol.
The male driver, 25-year old Andrew FARQUHAR of Toronto, ON is charged with Operation While Impaired, contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada and Operation With Over 80mgs of Alcohol, contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was later released from police custody on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on August 12, 2015.
