(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer’s, West Region Highway Safety officers and the OPP Aircraft conducted a speed enforcement initiative on the 403 Highway
Officers conducted the initiative on Sunday February 23rd, 2014, and twenty seven speeding charges were laid. One driver from New York State was clocked at over 185km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
Gregory THOMAS 51 years of age from Williamsville New York had is vehicle and drivers licence seized for seven days.
The accused is facing the following Criminal and Highway Traffic Act charges.
Possession of Schedule I Substance Cocaine
Possession of Schedule II, Substance Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams
Race Motor Vehicle – Highway Traffic Act
Speeding 50+ Km/h over posted limit – Highway Traffic Act
The accused is scheduled to attend provincial court on May 9th, 2014 to answer to the charges.
