(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – On July 30, 2018 at approximately 4:15pm, Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex Centre EMS and Middlesex Centre Fire Department were called to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Nairn Road and McEwen Drive in Middlesex Centre.
As a result of the collision, five individuals sustained non-life threatening injuries.
A seven-year-old female was transported to hospital in life threatening condition and died as a result of the collision.
As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged a 77-year-old male, William BANNISTER with the following offences, contrary to the Criminal Code (CC);
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death
The male has since been released by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is set to appear in court January 8, 2019.
