4 Year Old Takes Cocaine To School

Police attended a school in Renfrew on Thursday September 19 to investigate after a 4-year-old student brought what appeared to be a lighter to school. The lighter was in fact a concealment device and contained cocaine. Upon investigation a relative of the child admitted the drugs belonged to him. A 21-year-old male from Renfrew was charged with possession of a schedule 1 drug. He was released on a promise to appear in court in Renfrew on November 13. The name of the accused and the school will not be identified to protect the identity of the child. Provincial Constable Philip Holmes investigated.
