3 Facing Trafficking Charges After RIDE Check

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint traffic stop earlier this month has resulted in a number of charges being laid against three individuals. Shortly after 11:00 p.m. on December 12, 2015 a Ford Ranger pickup truck entered into the R.I.D.E checkpoint located near the intersection of London Road and Waterloo Street. Upon speaking with the male driver the officer determined the driver held a suspended licence and was prohibited from driving. He was placed under arrest and searched incident to arrest.

Inside the vehicle officers located a large quantity of processed marihuana and various break-in tools. Two other occupants were also placed under arrest and taken into custody. Further investigation also revealed the attached licence plates on the pickup truck had been stolen from a Lambton County resident.

As a result, the driver Mark MOORHOUSE, 33 years of age from Brantford is facing charges of Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Marihuana) for the Purposes of Trafficking Under 3KG, Possession of Break-In Instruments, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Driving While Disqualified, Fail to Surrender Insurance Card, Fail to Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle and Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle. He remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 22, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Also, charged is Sheena SINOPOLE, 34 years of age from Brantford. She is facing charges of Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Marihuana) for the Purposes of Trafficking Under 3KG, Possession of Break-In Instruments and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000. She remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 22, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Also charged is 18-year-old Seth SINOPLE from Sarnia. He is facing charges of Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Marihuana) for the Purposes of Trafficking Under 3KG, Possession of Break-In Instruments, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Fail to Comply with Recognizance and Fail to Comply with Probation Sentence. He remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 23, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
