(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A young driver from Goderich has been charged with Racing following a traffic stop that took place last week. At approximately 6:45 p.m. on December 17, 2015 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spotted a Hyundai Sonata speeding westbound on Huron Road (Highway #8) near Orchard Line. The officer confirmed his visual observations of the speeding vehicle by using a RADAR device. The speed of the Sonata was locked at 143 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was subsequently charged.
Casey HUFF, 18 years of age, from Goderich has been charged with “Race a Motor Vehicle”. He has a court appearance scheduled for February 2, 2016 at Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich. His licence has been suspended for seven days and his motor vehicle will be impounded for the week.
