(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A recent traffic stop of a male cyclist by a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer has resulted in a number of drug trafficking charges being laid against a 29 year old Exeter resident.
At approximately 3:45 p.m. on May 8, 2015 a Huron OPP officer watched as a male rode by suspiciously on Gidley Street in Exeter. The officer ended up stopping and speaking with the male and upon checking his name it was revealed there was an outstanding warrant out for his arrest.
He was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant and searched upon arrest.
Upon searching the male and his knapsack police located illegal drugs & drug trafficking paraphernalia. The combined street value of the seized drugs is estimated at $1,120.
As a result, Daniel MORROW, 29 years of age, from Exeter has been charged with:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking (Hydro Morphine)
Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking (Cannabis Marihuana)
Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking Given to an Officer
He remains in custody with an audio/video court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on May 12, 2015.
