24 Year Old Caught 2X Legal Limit

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On October 11, 2015, at approximately 00:38 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver travelling southbound on Highbury Avenue, near Thirteen Mile Road.

A brown GMC pickup truck was swerving on the road, and then entered a field on the east side of Highbury Avenue.

Officers located the vehicle on Highbury Avenue, near Medway Road. They conducted a traffic stop, and determined the male driver had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests, which revealed he had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.

As a result of the police investigation, 24-year-old Norman BILYEA, from Perth South Township, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and care or control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to appear in the London courts on November 17, 2015, to answer the charges.
