23 Year Old Female From North Perth Facing Drunk Driving Charge – Name Released

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) – On Tuesday May 31, 2016, shortly before 1:30 a.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a fast moving vehicle travelling east bound on Hwy 8 West of Stratford. The officer caught up to the Nissan Rogue within the Stratford city limits.

The officer spoke with the lone female driving the vehicle and detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath. The officer also noted signs of impairment and subsequently arrested the driver for impaired driving. The driver was transported to the Stratford Police Station where she failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.

23-year-old Taylor DANBROOK of the Municipality of North Perth was charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

Driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol)

Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood

She was released on a Promise to Appear and has a court appearance scheduled for Monday June 13, 2016, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford. She received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and her motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
