On June 7, 2016 at 3:50 p.m., a vehicle was travelling south along Old Zeller Drive, driven by a 30 year old Waterloo male. He was in the process of passing a construction vehicle unloading concrete. A 10 year old of Kitchener girl was walking north along Old Zeller Drive, on the east sidewalk. To avoid the construction, she crossed Old Zeller Drive. As she crossed, she ran into the path of the south bound vehicle and was struck. She was taken to The Grand River Hospital by Ambulance and treated for non life threatening injuries. Charges are unlikely in the incident; however the investigation continues.
