(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On January 3rd, 2016, at approximately 1205am officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol when they received information regarding a possible impaired driver.
Officers located the vehicle a short time later and after an investigation the officers determined that the driver of the motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
Chantal JOUAN, 23, of Quinte West has been charged with:
Driving While ability Impaired by Alcohol, Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
Care and Control Over 80mgs, Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
The female was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville on January 14th, 2016.
