22 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested

(LAMBTON, ON) – On Friday February 19th, 2016, at approximately 11:37 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a motor vehicle traveling eastbound on Ward Line from 40 Highway, St. Clair Township without any tail lights activated on the motor vehicle.

OPP officers stopped the motor vehicle to investigate the situation and during the traffic stop suspected that the male driver of the motor vehicle had been consuming alcoholic beverages. A demand for a road side breath test was made, which resulted in a fail. The driver was arrested and was transported to the Lambton OPP – Petrolia Detachment for further breath testing which resulted in readings over the legal limit.

As a result, 22 year-old, Adam NEVILLS of St. Clair Township, ON was charged with:

Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood

Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence

Drive Motor Vehicle, No Currently Validated Permit

The accused will appear in the Sarnia Ontario Court of Justice on Monday March 21st, 2016.

The OPP is reminding drivers that any amount of alcohol or other drugs can impair one’s ability to drive. Impaired driving remains the leading cause of criminal death in Canada.
