(TILLSONBURG, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) report that on January 22, 2016 shortly after midnight, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling in an area that had been the target of recent thefts from vehicles. The vehicle, a white van, with a lone male driver was stopped on Ann Street in Tillsonburg.
Through further investigation it was determined that the male was a suspended driver. The male was arrested, and after conducting a search the officer seized suspected Methamphetamines from the male. The vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
Joshua CHAMBERS, 21-years-of-age of Tillsonburg is charged with the following:
Driving While Under Suspension – contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Methamphetamine – contrary to the Controlled Drugs And Substances Act
He was released on an appearance notice for a future court date.
