(GUELPH, ON) – On January 13, 2017 at approximately 2:30 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Officer was watching traffic on Highway 6 near Laird Road, Guelph. A man driving a Volkswagen was observed at a speed well above the posted speed limit and was locked on radar at approximately 132 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
20-year-old Ricky NATER of Pickering was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Court on March 1, 2017. His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
