Barrie Police were called to a downtown parking lot for a report of an impaired driver doing “donuts†in the parking lot. Police attended the area but could not locate the vehicle or driver.
Members of the downtown HEAT Unit continued to patrol Dunlop St and located the vehicle near the 5 points. Police investigated a 19 year old female and found she was impaired by alcohol.
She was arrested for Impaired driving and transported to the Barrie Police Service for a series of breath tests. Her vehicle which is owned by her father, was impounded.
The female provided breath samples two times the legal limit and was charged accordingly.
She now faces a November Court date.
