(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment has charged a 19-year-old male after police stopped a vehicle at a Mall Road, Middleton, Ontario address.
On Saturday February 20, 2016, at approximately 5:00 p.m., police were conducting patrols in the area of Highway 59, when a vehicle attracted the officer’s attention. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and investigated at a Mall Road address.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 19-year-old Sjaak Peterus KOOP of Norfolk County, Ontario with careless driving; disobey stop sign X2, young driver – blood alcohol concentration above zero and driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
