(TOWN OF PERTH, ON) – Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Perth man following an investigation of a break and enter to The Table Community Food Centre, Perth.
Staff from the Centre called Police at about 8.22am on Friday 17th June 2016 after they discovered that the premises had been broken into overnight.
Damage had been caused to the building exterior and interior and approximately five thousand dollars ($5000) worth of donated cheques and gift cards had been stolen.
As a result of an active investigation officers arrested a man in down town Perth shortly after midday on Friday 17th June 2016.
Jeffrey HAMILTON, 18 years old, is charged:
One (1) Count. Break and Enter.
One (1) Count. Possession of Property Obtained By Crime (Under $5000).
Two (2) Counts. Fail To Comply With Probation Order.
All contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
HAMILTON was remanded in custody pending a Bail hearing at the Provincial Court in Perth.
