(Cavan-Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to assist in stopping an impaired driver on Highway 115 just after 2:00am Friday morning.
Two friends tried desperately to stop their intoxicated friend from driving his Jeep. After offering a safe ride home and taking away his keys, the friends were shocked to find the accused driving away. The friends called 911 and began to follow in a separate vehicle. The Jeep stopped on the shoulder of the Highway numerous times. The friends begged the accused to stop driving, only to have him drive away again. The vehicle was stopped by OPP officers near Tapley Quarter Line on Highway 115.

The accused is scheduled to make an appearance in Peterborough Provincial Court on May 07, 2015.
