(RYAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 14, 2016 at approximately 7:25 pm Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Batchewana Fire and Rescue and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 North near Pancake Provincial Park.
A pickup truck traveling northbound approached a southbound semi tractor trailer and collided head on with the semi tractor trailer.
The driver of the semi tractor trailer received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, 17 year old Colin DESMOULIN of Sault Ste. Marie was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A post mortem is scheduled for November 15, 2016.
The investigation is continuing.
