(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Monday August 26, 2013, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to the Intermodal freight Lines yard in St.Columban (located at the corner of Hwy 8 and Road 182), where an Argo vehicle on a trailer had been stolen.
Investigation revealed that sometime between Friday evening August 23rd and Monday morning August 26th an unknown person(s) entered onto the trucking freight yard and hooked a vehicle up to a black double axle float trailer on which a green 2005 Argo Avenger (8 wheeled off road vehicle) was strapped down. The trailer had been parked behind a large storage container in a grassy area and was not visible from Hwy 8.
The Argo has a black flip down roof and had an Ontario licence plate 38KA2 attached to the back of the machine.
The trailer has an 8ft wide and 12ft long wooden deck. The 9ft long Argo was strapped down to the front of the trailer where a 2ft tall wooden stone chip shield protects the front of the Argo. The trailer had Ontario licence plate Y29032 attached to the back.
The total value of the Argo and trailer is estimated at $16,000.00
The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who may have observed suspicious vehicles or activity at the Intermodal Freight Lines yard in St.Columban this weekend, or who knows the whereabouts of the Argo or trailer to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
