(Mono,ON) – On December. 8, 2014, an officer from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting speed enforcement in the Town of Mono. The officer observed a black 2009 Mitsubishi sedan travelling Northbound on 2nd Line EHS at a high rate of speed and determined that the driver was operating the vehicle at 130 km/hr. in a 70 km/hr. zone.
As a result of the traffic stop, 22 year old male of Shelburne,Ontario was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge.
The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date.
