(BLIND RIVER, ON)- On September 27, 2016, members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to threatening call at a local school in the Town of Blind River.
Police learned shortly after 12:00 p.m., a 12 year old male was walking on Woodward Avenue when an older male youth ran up to him and demanded he give him an item. If he didn’t return it by such a time, the older youth would hurt him. The 12 year old ran away and returned to school to report the incident to the school Principal.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., the male was located and arrested on Village Road on the Territory of Mississauga First Nation.
As a result of the investigation, a 14 year old male, from Mississauga First Nation, Ontario, was charged with: Uttering Threats-Cause Bodily Harm, contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is schedule to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on October 13, 2016.
