Two From Goderich Facing Break And Enter Charges – LANGDON & BAKKER

(GODERICH, ON) – Two Goderich residents are facing criminal charges in relation to a break, enter & theft that occurred in the Town of Goderich this past August.

On August 19, 2016 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were contacted by the owner of The Bistro Restaurant located on Courthouse Square in Goderich. Police were advised someone forced entry into the restaurant and once inside the restaurant the thieves stole alcohol, a cash register and a quantity of cash.

A police investigation ensued and with the assistance of the Huron County OPP Property Crimes Unit investigators were able to identify two suspects responsible for the crime. Officers located and arrested both subjects in the Town of Goderich on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.

As a result of the police investigation, 30-year-old Perry BAKKER from Goderich has been charged with: Break, Enter a Place – Commit an Indictable Offence and Breach of Recognizance (2) counts.

25-year-old Samuel LANGDON from Goderich is facing one count of Break, Enter a Place – Commit an Indictable Offence.

LANGDON has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 17, 2016.

BAKKER remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for September 30, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
