(HAWKESBURY, ON) – The Hawkesbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated an assault incident on a 12-year-old that occurred on October 15th at the Hawkesbury General Hospital.
A 12-year-old female was approached by an elderly male while at the Hawkesbury General Hospital. The suspect had asked the young girl if her mother was with her and shortly after returned and grabbed her left forearm, tugged on it and told her to come and sit with him. The visibly disturbed female came to the attention of other persons in the waiting room who told the suspect to leave her alone. At that moment, the suspect left the hospital.
With the assistance of the public and the Security personnel at the Hawkesbury General Hospital, the suspect was later identified and located. On October 24th, Hawkesbury OPP officer, Constable Matthew Priess arrested and charged the suspect.
Ronald LLOYD (71 yrs) of Grenville, Quebec was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following section:
– 266 Assault
He was later released and scheduled to appear at court on November 18th, 2015 in L’Orignal.
