(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On Sunday, May 22, 2016 at approximately 3:50 pm, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle / cyclist collision that occurred on Lakeshore Drive in the Municipality of Shuniah.
The driver of a Nissan Rogue was west bound on Lakeshore Drive when a cyclist veered into the path of the vehicle and collided with the vehicle.
The 11 year old female cyclist was transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
The driver has not been charged in this incident.
