Middlesex OPP Weekend Report

(MIDDLESEX, ON) – Over the course of the weekend, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were busy doing their part to keep our communities safe. 

(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) – Suspicious Vehicle leads to Impaired Charge

On May 14, 2023, at 7:42 p.m., members of the Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to Old Mill Street in Ailsa Craig, North Middlesex for the report of a suspicious vehicle, idling in a parking lot.

Officers arrived on scene and observed a single occupant sleeping in the vehicle.

As a result, Wendi ROSCOE, a 52-year-old of Zurich, was charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on July 20, 2023.

(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) – Break and Enter to New Build in Parkhill

On May 14, 2023, at 12:35 p.m., members of the Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to a new build in Parkhill, North Middlesex, for the report of a break and enter to a house under construction.

It was determined an unknown individual(s) entered the property sometime during the overnight hours and gained entry through the garage.

Approximately $3,000 to $4,000 in tools and equipment was stolen.

The investigation is continuing.

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Theft of Vehicle in Ilderton

On May 13, 2023, at 9:44 p.m., members of the Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to an address on Ilderton Road in Middlesex Centre for the report of a stolen vehicle.

It was determined an unknown individual attended the property at some point during the evening hours and proceeded to steal a 2003, grey Nissan Pathfinder.

The investigation is continuing.

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Individual Charged as a result of Intimate Partner Violence

On May 12, 2023, at 6:38 p.m., members of the Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to an address in Thames Centre for the report of a disturbance.

As a result, an individual of Thames Centre was charged under the Criminal Code with, Assault Cause Bodily Harm. The individual has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Middlesex OPP Investigating Fraud Complaint

On May 12, 2023, members of the Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to an address in Middlesex Centre for the report of a fraud report.

Investigation revealed an individual located playoff hockey tickets on a popular social media, buy and sell platform, at which time money was transferred to the unknown seller.

As a result, the tickets did not arrive, and the seller has since deleted their account.

Middlesex OPP remind the public to complete online transactions in a safe place, such as a parking lot or police station when dealing with unknown individuals.

The investigation is continuing.  

(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) – Break and Enter to Storage Unit on Construction Site

On May 12, 2023, at 1:44 p.m., members of the Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to Eagle Court in Parkhill, North Middlesex for the report of a break and enter to a sea-can on the property of a house under construction.

It was determined an unknown individual(s) entered the property sometime during the overnight hours and proceeded to steal over $400 worth of tools and equipment.

The investigation is continuing.

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Middlesex OPP Investigating Theft of Vehicle

On May 12, 2023, at 12:19 p.m., members of the Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to an address on Watts Drive in Middlesex Centre for the report of a stolen vehicle.

It was determined an unknown individual(s), entered the property sometime during the overnight hours and proceeded to steal a 2021, Black, Jeep Wrangler.

The investigation is continuing.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
