Attempted Murder – Two Arrested – WILLIAMSON & WILLIAMSON

(BLUEWATER, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit has now laid an Attempt Murder charge against one of the accused in connection with a recent shooting incident that took place near Brucefield.

On March 20, 2022 at approximately 5:19 p.m., Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Huron County Paramedic Services responded to an altercation located west of Brucefield on Bannockburn Line.

Upon arrival officers located an adult male victim that had sustained injuries from a gunshot. 

The victim has since been released from hospital.

Jeffrey WILLIAMSON, 45 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with:

·        Attempt Murder

·        Discharge a Firearm into or at a Place in a Reckless Manner

·        Careless Use of a Firearm

·        Aggravated Assault

He remains in custody with a video court appearance scheduled for March 30, 2022.

Donald WILLIAMSON, 33 years of age from Morris-Turnberry has been charged with:

·        Discharge a Firearm into or at a Place in a Reckless Manner

·        Careless Use of a Firearm

·        Aggravated Assault

He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for May 2, 2022 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
