(PERTH EAST, ON) – One person has died as a result of a collision between a passenger vehicle and a commercial motor vehicle near Shakespeare yesterday morning.
On March 28, 2022 just before 6:30 a.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Perth County Paramedic Services, and the Perth East Fire Department, responded to a fatal two vehicle motor vehicle collision at Perth Line 34 (Highway 8), between Road 102 and Road 104, in the Township of Perth East.
The driver of the passenger vehicle died at the scene. The deceased has been identified as Jacob HERTZBERGER, 19, of Blandford-Blenheim Township.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team are assisting Perth County OPP.
The area of Perth County Line 34 (Highway 8), between Roads 102 and 104, was closed for the protection of emergency responders and to facilitate the investigation.
