23 Year Old Arrested In Goderich

(GODERICH, ON) – A Goderich resident is facing a Resist Peace Officer charge after he tried to run away from officers that were trying to arrest him. 

Shortly after 9:00 p.m. on December 11, 2021 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to Gibbons Street in Goderich to investigate a suspicious person call. Upon arrival officers located the suspect on the sidewalk and while speaking with the suspect it was learned the suspect was currently wanted on a warrant. Upon trying to arrest the suspect for the outstanding warrant the accused immediately took off from the officers. Officers gave chase and the accused was located a short distance away. When trying to arrest the accused, the accused struggled with the officers and resisted arrest. Ultimately the accused was taken into custody and was charged. 

Jeffrey BROWN, 23 years of age from Goderich has been charged with Resist Peace Officer. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for January 10, 2022 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
