(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On December 19, 2016, at 10:49 a.m., members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the Parry Sound High School after receiving a report of a student causing damage to a door and initially refusing to leave the premises.
Investigation has thus far revealed that as a result of the events unfolding, the school was placed in a “Hold and Secure” while police attended and investigated. Police located and arrested the 15 year old male.
The “Hold and Secure” procedure ensures that the schools are locked, prohibiting any movement into or out of the buildings. Students are otherwise carrying on their day as normal.
