(Deseronto,ON)- On Friday January 20th, at 10:35 p.m. officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a robbery at an apartment on Thomas Street in Deseronto. The victim reported three males wearing a disguise forced their way into his apartment while he and his girlfriend were home and stole personal items from the residence.
Through investigation police identified the suspects and they were arrested in Deseronto a short time later.
The three suspects were identified as Nicholas ORTMANN a 20 year old male from Deseronto and two youth; a 16 year old male and 17 year old male who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Ortmann was charged with; Break and Enter into a Dwelling House, Robbery with Violence and Disguise with Intent. The 16 year old male was charged with Break and Enter into a Dwelling House, Robbery with Violence and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order. The 17 year old male was charged with Break and Enter into a Dwelling House, Robbery with Violence and Disguise with Intent.
All three males were held for Bail court in Kingston on Saturday.
