(NORTH PERTH, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two residents of North Perth after they were found in possession of stolen property.
On December 26, 2023, just after 2:00 a.m., Perth County OPP, while conducting a separate investigation, observed roadway signage in the possession of two individuals.
Jake HAMM, 21, a resident of North Perth was charged with:
– Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Jesse KLASSEN, 20, a resident of North Perth was charged with:
– Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
The accused individuals in this matter were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on January 22, 2024, to answer to the charges.
Perth County OPP want to remind the public that the removal of roadway, directional, and any signage leads to dangerous conditions for all roadway users. Signage identifying roadway speed, community safety zones, yield signs, stops signs, etc. ensure motorists traveling in the area have the information they need to safely navigate curvatures in the roadway, intersections, right of way, pedestrian crossings, etc. Any removal of such signs should be reported immediately to police.
