(HEARST, ON) -On January 9, 2014, the Hearst Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a stolen snowmobile event that occurred along Ritchie Road in Ritchie Township, near the town of Hearst.
The police investigation revealed that between 8:00 pm on January 8 and 6:00 pm on January 9, 2014, suspect(s) stole a broken down White 2010 Artic Cat Cross Fire High Output “V Force 3†snowmobile which had been parked alongside Ritchie Road.
The OPP is asking for anyone with relevant information or who may have been in the Ritchie Road area at the time in question, to call the Hearst OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Police would like to remind all Motorized Snow Vehicle (MSV) owners that part of snowmobile operation should include security. Every effort should be taken by owners to secure their snowmobiles and trailers when not in use: never leave the key in the ignition or the machine running when unattended. When parked, ensure it is secured with a throttle lock, track lock and (or) tethered to another machine with hardened chains and bolts.
