(Mallorytown,ON.) – On the 22th of January 2014 at around 12:55 p.m. an officer with the Ontario Provincial Police in Leeds County was on patrol on Hwy 401 west bound when he observed a set of tractor trailer tires rolling into the median.
The officer stopped to investigate. While officers were patrolling for the tractor trailer a passerby contacted the O.P.P to report seeing a tractor trailer missing tires.
Officers attended to investigate and found a tractor trailer stopped on the shoulder of the highway 1 km west of where the tires were found.
The tires had detached from the left front axle of the tractor.
The driver, Zamurad BUTT, 37 years old ,is charged with Detached Parts – Commercial Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.,
