(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West OPP is asking business owners and consumers to take a close look at their money. Recently Quinte area businesses have been seeing an increase in the passing and attempted passing of counterfeit currency.

In 2012 44,975 counterfeit Canadian currency bills were passed in Canada of those bills 30,672 were $20 bills.
