Kevin TOOKATE – Drunk Driving

(MOOSONEE, ON) – At 5:50 pm on February 11, 2014 the Moosonee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on a motorized snow vehicle (MSV) in the area of Wabun Road. Officers were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

At 7:20 pm Officers received a second complaint indicating that a male was operating his MSV in an erratic manner and that he may be impaired. Officers located the male and subsequently arrested him for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He was brought to the Moosonee OPP Detachment where he provided breath samples in excess of the legal limit.

Kevin TOOKATE, 25, of Cochrane Ontario is charged with the following:

– Impaired operation of a motor vehicle

– Operate a motor vehicle with excess of 80mg of alcohol in 100mL of blood.

The accused received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Moosonee on the April 8, 2014.
