(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On March 13, 2014, just before 1:00 p.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a Volvo tractor trailer on Highway 40 near Countryview Line, after observing the vehicle being driven at a greater rate of speed than what was appropriate with the adverse road conditions.
As a result of the subsequent OPP traffic investigation, the male driver, 35 year old Ammar IDRIS, from Windsor, ON, was charged with the following:
Careless Driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Fail To Maintain Daily Log, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Enter Inaccurate or False Information in Daily Log, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
