ROAD CLOSED FOR SERIOUS COLLISION ON EGREMONT DRIVE AT HICKORY DRIVE

(ADELAIDE-METCALFE TOWNSHIP, ON) – Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police are currently investigating a two-vehicle collision involving life threatening injuries at the intersection of Hickory Drive and Egremont Drive in Adelaide-Metcalfe Township.

Police have learned that on March 16, 2014 at approximately 12:18 pm, there was a serious collision involving a northbound car and an eastbound large sized truck. A female in her twenties who was driving the car has sustained life-threatening injuries and has been transported to a local hospital. The male driver of the truck was uninjured.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) Team has been engaged to assist with the investigation. Police have closed Egremont Drive between Centre Road and Ilderton Road and have closed Wood Road at Charlton Drive for southbound traffic and Hickory Drive at Amiens Road for all northbound traffic. Police are asking the motorists to avoid the area for the safety of all responders.
