(Hawkesbury, ON) – On the 17th of March, shortly before midnight, Constable Marc Lauzon intercepted a green Toyota Corolla for a traffic violation on Tupper Street, in the Town of Hawkesbury.
During the execution of the traffic stop, the passenger was found in possession of illicit drugs. More than $7,000.00 of methamphetamine tablets (street value) were found and seized.
The passenger, Stephane KIEFFER (42 yrs) of Hawkesbury, ON, was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with section 5(2) for 3 counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs (methamphetamines).
The driver, Laurier Jr MAHEUX (26 yrs) of Hawkesbury, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with section 62(19) Improper number plate light.
KIEFFER is scheduled to appear in court on April 16th in L’Orignal.
