Georges TURCOTTE – Drunk Driving

(Champlain, ON) In the early morning of Sunday March 23rd, 2014, at approximately
2:15 am, Constable Michael Roy of the Hawkesbury OPP Detachment, was patrolling in the Town of Vankleek Hill, when he intercepted a 2002 Dodge Ram pick-up truck on Union Street.

The traffic stop gave the officer reason to believe that the driver had consumed alcohol and that his blood alcohol concentration was above the permitted limit. The driver was consequently arrested for driving while having blood alcohol content above 80 mgs per 100ml of blood.

Consequently, the driver Georges TURCOTTE (39 yrs) of Champlain ON, was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with section 253(1)(b) Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood.

He was later released on a promise to appear in court on April 16th, 2014 in L’Orignal.
