(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, Grey County, ON) – On Tuesday, March 25, 2014, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of Grey County OPP, and the West Region Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property on Southgate Road 14, in the Township of Southgate, Grey County.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized cannabis marihuana plants and cannabis marihuana. The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances was $37,100.00.
Police also seized offence related property that consisted of a vehicle and cannabis marihuana production equipment. The estimated, combined value of the offence related property was $14,000.00.
Son Ha PHAM, (49 years), of Wellington County, was arrested and charged with production of cannabis marihuana, possession of cannabis marihuana, and theft of electricity over $5,000.00.
