On Monday June 30th, 2014 at approximately 8:00pm, Peterborough County OPP was conducting patrols for a reported possible impaired driver. Officers located and stopped the suspect vehicle on Shady Lane in the Township of Havelock Belmont Methuen. As a result of the subsequent investigation, Darren Arnel; 35 years of age of Hamilton, Ontario was charged with the following:
Section 253(1) (b) Criminal Code of Canada – “Over 80 Mgs.â€Â
Section 53(1) Highway Traffic Act – “Drive Motor Vehicle While Under Suspensionâ€Â
Mr. Arnel is to appear at Peterborough Provincial Court on July 31st, 2014.
