(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH)- On June 29, 2014 at 7:54 pm, the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle in a Beeton plaza parking lot.
Police attended to locate a black Honda parked in the parking lot of a local grocery store. The male was arrested and his vehicle towed.
The investigation led Police into an impaired investigation, charged is 41 year old Town of New Tecumseth resident, Christopher MAHER. He is charged with the following charges:
Care and Control while Impaired (Alcohol)
Care and Control over 80 mgs
Obstruct Peace Officer
Resist Peace Officer
Possession of Schedule 1 substance (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act)
The first appearance date is set for July 31, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford, Ontario.
