(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On June 29, 2014, the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Seguin Fire Department and Parry Sound Fire Department responded to two separate fires in the early morning hours in Seguin Township.
The victim from the residence fire on James Bay Junction Road has been positively identified as Anne HOWELL, 87 years of age. Subsequently, on June 30, 2014, Elaine PANTRY, 62 years of age, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. A third victim remains in serious condition in hospital.
The investigation into the cause of the fire continues jointly by the Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Staff Sergeant Gilles Depratto of the Criminal Investigation Branch and the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM).
