PHARMACY BROKEN INTO AND PRESCRIPTION NARCOTICS STOLEN

(TAVISTOCK, ON.) The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred at the IDA Pharmacy on Woodstock Street South in Tavistock on Wednesday July 16, 2014 between 5:58 a.m. and 6:15 a.m.

Forced entry was gained into the business through the front door.

Approximately $9,000 worth of prescription narcotics were taken from the dispensary.

A vehicle was observed in the area at the time of the break in and is described as:

Dark blue or black

Smaller SUV or crossover type of vehicle

Has a roof rail system

This is a safety issue and the public is advised that improper use of prescription narcotics may cause serious trauma or death.

The investigation is continuing and any person with information in relation to this break, enter and theft should immediately contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
