(MCMURRICH/MONTEITH TWP) On Sunday July 20, 2014, the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a single vehicle rollover, a 2014 Yamaha All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on Axe Lake Road, McMurrich/Monteith Township.
The operator of the vehicle was travelling on Axe Lake Road with a passenger when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to rollover. The passenger was taken to hospital by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) with non-life threatening injuries. The driver was charged with Drive ATV with passenger on schedule B Highway, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
