(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two drivers with drinking and driving offences in the past couple of days.
On the 11th of August 2014 shortly after 3:00pm, an officer on patrols observed a motor vehicle in a private parking lot on Clark Street in The Blue Mountains. When the officer approached the male driver, it was found that he was under the influence of alcohol which led to his arrest and transport to Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 67 year-old Daniel HADLEY of The Blue Mountains, he is charged with care or control while impaired by alcohol and care or control over 80 milligrams. He is to appear in Owen Sound court on the 21st of August 2014.
As well, on the 13th of August 2014 just before 2:00am, an officer investigated a vehicle parked on a private lot on Bruce Street in The Blue Mountains. Upon speaking to the driver, it was found that he was under the influence of alcohol and as such, he was subjected to a roadside breath test which resulted in a ‘fail’ reading. He was arrested and transported to detachment for processing.
Charged is 21 year-old Brendan WILLISON of The Blue Mountains, he is facing a criminal code charge of driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood and a highway traffic act charge of class G2 license holder – blood alcohol concentration above zero. He is to appear in Owen Sound court on the 11th of September 2014.
